My son and some of his friends are planning a trip to Europe next summer and mentioned that he’d like to have a portable camcorder.    My husband and I thought about buying him a notebook computer to take along with him, but I find that it’s a little too much for him to be carrying around with him considering that they’re going to be traveling from one European city to another.    We finally agreed that the best way for him to keep in touch would be to get an international calling plan with his cell phone, and then he could use the portable camcorder to record the events and adventure in each city.     Several days ago I found a portable camcorder for a great price online and I ordered it for him.  We’ll put it under the tree for him at Christmas, but I know he’s going to be excited about the possibilities of all that he can capture with the new camcorder.    I admit to being a little jealous and wish that I was going along with them, but my husband said that he’d take me for our 20^th wedding anniversary which is only three years away.
