I walked in the house yesterday afternoon after spending some time at the beach with my new digital camera to find my home a complete mess.   I knew as soon as I walked in the door and heard the loud sound of music coming from the surround speakers that my son was not only home, but that it looked as though he had a few friends over and they’d ripped through the house like a hurricane.    I stood in the door for a little while to see if anyone would walk through the kitchen area, but after I saw no one, I went to the living room.   The surround speakers were blaring, but there was no one in the living room and that left only one option- my son’s bedroom.   Sure enough, I found all six of them in his room playing video games.   I stood in the doorway about five minutes observing before anyone ever noticed me and then I asked if they’d seen the hurricane that blew through the house.  My son looked a little embarrassed and they all started cleaning up, starting with turning the music down on the surround speakers.
